Screen doors that actually close
A screen door is the single most-used moving part of any enclosure, and it is the part that fails first. Sliders get forced when they drag, which bends the bottom track, which makes them drag worse. Swing doors sag at the hinge side until the latch no longer lines up with the keeper, and then get slammed to make them catch. By the time most people call us the door has been fighting them for a year.
The first thing we do is work out whether you need a new door at all. Repair is often a third of the cost of replacement and lasts just as long when the problem is genuinely the hardware. We will tell you plainly which situation you are in, because selling a door to someone who needed $110 of rollers is the kind of thing that gets a company one job and no referrals.
When repair is the right answer
- Door drags or is hard to slide — nearly always worn rollers, sometimes a track full of grit.
- Door jumps off the track — worn rollers plus a bent bottom track. Both need addressing.
- Door closes but will not latch — latch alignment or a keeper that has shifted.
- Handle broken or missing — a straightforward hardware swap.
- Mesh torn but frame is square — rescreen the panel and leave the door in place.

- Frame is bent or twisted — a door that will not sit square cannot be made to run true.
- Corner joints have opened up — the frame has lost its rigidity and will keep racking.

Heavy-duty and pet-friendly doors
If a large dog treats your screen door as a swinging door, a standard residential slider will not survive it. Heavier extruded frames with reinforced corners and pet-resistant mesh cost more up front and last several times longer in that situation. Adding a kick plate to the bottom third of the door helps even more, since that is where the paws land.

Yes, and they are among the most common we do. Pool enclosure doors take heavy use, sit in a wet and often chlorinated environment, and corrode at the bottom rail sooner than a house door would. We check them as part of every pool cage rescreening estimate.
We handle those too, $210 to $420 installed. The common failure is sag at the hinge side pulling the latch out of alignment with the keeper. Sometimes that is fixable by resetting the hinges and adding a corner brace, which is far cheaper than a new door. We will check before quoting replacement.
Yes, two years on workmanship, which covers installation, alignment and spline. Hardware carries its own manufacturer warranty and we pass that through to you. Damage from forcing a door, a pet pushing through, or storm impact is not a workmanship issue but we will repair it at our normal rate.
